Copenhagen City Hall
Architect: Martin Nyrop. Built: 1905
The main features of this building follow the National Romantic style but general complex is inspired by the Siena City Hall. It is dominated by its richly ornamented front, the gilded statue of Absalon (national hero and key figure in the Dannish geographical expansion) just above the balcony and the tall, slim clock tower.
