Descriptive note: The Saving Bank is a great example of Lechner's “Hungarian National Romantic Style”. This building combined concrete and steel structure with Art Nouveau ornamentation, producing a synthesis of modernism and the national style. The exterior of is accurately decorated trough various motifs and colors, but specifically should be notice the presence of the tulip design along the facade. In fact, it is one of the most important symbols of Hungarian identity, with its roots in the countryside.
