Besides the many maps and guides to the Exposition, Turin 1911, just like all World Fairs, originated a massive number of ephemeral items, such as postcards, postage stamps, panoramas, dioramas, daily and weekly admission tickets, tickets to individual events, concerts, galas, and sporting competitions, posters, prizes, keepsakes, souvenirs, calendars, advertisements, etcetera. Together, these miscellaneous objects both recorded and constructed the vast "collective imaginary" of the Exposition.
In their ubiquity and variety, these ephemeral objects often helped disseminate the Exposition's narrative via easily assimilated and recurring allegorical tropes.
Here are just some illustrative examples of a plethora of objects that participated in building the multifaced narrative of the "Fabulous Exposition."
